Configuring the Bluetooth(tm) Developers Kit for Data Synchronizing on the SL-5500/SL-5000
( wireless serial cable )

Configuring our Bluetooth Dev Kit is as easy as it is to configure a serial cable connection between your handheld and a computer. As a matter of fact, it's exactly how you do it because the Dev Kit acts just like a serial cable. We've already "paired" the  two modules in the kit so its as easy as 1-2-3-4:
1) Plug one module into your Zaurus
2) Plug the other module into the USB port on your PC
3) Follow the normal instructions for configuring a serial cable connection for your PC operating sytem only you use the COM port created when you plugged in the USB module: Sharps Serial HowTo pages tell you how ( look for your OS in the list on the left )
4) Change your QtopiaDesktop Connection setting for the LAN method. Use the IP address of the handheld for the new PPP connection.
note: We were told that Win2k does not have full USB support and that this driver will help.... Windows Driver for older Win2k with enhanced support: (Feb 25, 2003) R8062115.zip

That's all there is to it.  But if you want full Internet connectivity via your Bluetooth Dev Kit, you'll have to enable IP routing/NAT on your PC OS and add the route and name servers to your Zaurus configuration.  We used Charles-Edouard Ruaults   page to help us configure our Linux machines: How to set up an Ethernet over USB connection between the Sharp Zaurus SL-5000D/SL-5500 and a Linux machine.

Configuring the Bluetooth(tm) Developers Kit for Mobile Phone Connectivity
( cellPhoneConnect )

If you want to connect to your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone network it's as easy as 1-2-3:
1) Place your mobile phone in Discoverable mode( see your phones Users Manual )
2) Place the cellPhoneConnect module in Discover mode by gently pushing the button on the back of the module.  It should soon start blinking fast as it searches.
3) When your mobile phone asks for a PASSKEY, enter 1234
note: You'll have to re-pair your handheld module with the PC module when you want to enable that connection again.
